6 Days Uganda Trip Safari

Uganda is East Africa’s top tourist destinations for white water rafting . Both countries are especially known worldwide for the wildebeest migration which takes place every year. On this safari, you will explore the best of both Kenya and Tanzania that make them stand out as tourist destinations. In Kenya you will visit Masai Mara game reserve a Kenya’s top tourist destination where you will see the ‘Big Five’ plus many other animals, bird species. You will also enjoy activities such as visiting Masai Village and evening game drives, bird watching and hot-air balloon rides. In Tanzania you will explore Serengeti National Park; Tanzania’s largest National Park and Ngorongoro Crater often referred to as Africa’s Eden.

Day 1. Nairobi – Departure to Maasai Mara

After an early sumptuous breakfast, your journey to Maasai Mara will begin. Enjoy beautiful sceneries on your way; you can request your driver to make a stop for you to capture this beauty. You will have your lunch at one of the stops along the way before making your way into the Mara in the afternoon. Report to your designated lodge/campsite and relax for the rest of the afternoon. If time allows, set out for an evening game drive and enjoy breathtaking sunset in the Mara. Come back in time for dinner before retiring to your lodge or camp.

Day 2. Maasai Mara Game Reserve safari

This day will be spent entirely exploring the Mara. After an early morning breakfast, make your way into this African wild. Go for an early morning drive where you’ll get a close-up view of animals like giraffes, lions, leopards, buffalos, wild dogs, zebras and antelopes among others. If it’s the Great migration season, you will have the pleasure of seeing over 2 million wildebeests and Zebras make their way from Serengeti across the Mara River into the Maasai Mara. Head back to your lodge or camp just in time for lunch. Have a relaxed afternoon before going for an evening game drive. The evening game drive helps you relax your mind as you enjoy the scenic topography and the setting sun. Drive back to your camp/lodge for dinner.

Day 3. Departure to Serengeti National Park

Today you leave Kenya for Tanzania. Breakfast will be served early in the morning and thereafter your journey to Serengeti National Park will begin. This is an exciting journey as you will use the same path followed by migrating wildebeests at the Sirari/Isebania border. Have the pleasure of seeing a few animals along the way as you enjoy your picnic lunch. Arrive at your designated camp or lodge where you will spend the rest of your evening relaxing.

Day 4. Serengeti National Park

Enjoy a full day at Serengeti National Park. After an early morning breakfast, proceed to take an exciting morning drive in the Serengeti. Serengeti National Park is renowned for being home to over 500 birds species like lovebirds, ostrich, vultures, Kori bustard etc. and over 4 million animals species like hyenas, African wild dogs, waterbucks, Topi cheetahs plus many more. Apart from the animals and birds, you will also have the pleasure of viewing Serengeti’s scenic topography which comprises of savannah plains, acacia trees, river line bushes, rivers and scrubs. Drive back to your camp/lodge for dinner.

Day 5. Departure to Ngorongoro Crater

Today you depart for the famous Ngorongoro Crater. Early in the morning your breakfast will be served and you will receive packed lunch to eat along the way. Thereafter, your journey to Ngorongoro Crater will; one of the Natural Wonders of the World will begin. The crater which is one of the biggest calderas in the world is 2,500ft in depth, 14.5KM diameter and covers an area of 264Km2. At the crater you will see animals like lions, elephants, zebras, rhinos, buffalos, hyenas, leopards and wildebeests, bird species like vultures, storks, flamingos and geese among others. Drive back to your camp/lodge for dinner.

Day 6. Return to Nairobi

This day marks the end of your safari. After a delicious breakfast, you will be driven to Arusha from where you will be dropped off at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
