Day 1 Dar es Salaam | Mikumi National Park
Depart from your hotel in Dar Es Salaam Tanzania after breakfast for Mikumi National park the drive is about 4-5 hours, being nestled between the Uluguru Mountains to the East and the Rift Valley Escarpments to the Southwest. The park is close to the Selous ecosystem and therefore part of it, is benefits from the highest game density of the entire conservation area. The Mikumi National Park obtains a good impression of the African animal world and is definitely suitable for a shErt visiting. Up on the arrival at Mikumi National Park you have the opportunity to embark on sunset game drives around the park. Your dinner and overnight will be at Tanswiss Lodge.
Day 2 Mikumi National Park
Full day of game drives around Mikumi. There are variety bird species as well as large numbers of giraffes, buffaloes and elephants and close to the water holes also lions, leopards and hippos. Furthermore you can see zebras, lions, wild dogs, pythons, hartebeest, wildebeest, elephants, impala, warthog, eland and other antelopes. Several observation towers enable you to overview the park in its entirety. Mikumi National Park is mostly woodland with gently rolling hills, dinner and overnight at Tanswiss lodge.
Day 3 Mikumi | Dar Es Salaam
After breakfast proceed with a morning game drive then drive to Dar Es Salaam depending on your planned arrival time in Dar Es Salaam. Arrival in the late afternoon/early evening including transfer back to the hotel in Dar es Salaam or catch the ferry for Zanzibar. Breakfast and lunch included.
